My friend and I went on New Year's Eve for dinner. We always liked their food but hadn't been in a long time. We ordered wor won ton, lettuce cups with chicken and Mongolian beef with brown rice. The food was tasty with generous portions. The service was great--kind, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant has beautiful framed Chinese paintings on the wall. The sad thing is that the owner staff told us it was their last night. They were closing their restaurant after many years because of the rent. They said they are looking for a smaller place and patrons can watch their Facebook page.

I found out that Hunan Villa is closing down at the end of the month. The restaurant is closing down due to high rent that they can not afford. Hopefully the owner could re-open his business at another location in Pinole. I been going to Hunan Villa since 1999 when I was attending college at Contra Costa. This was my alternative Chinese Restaurant if I did not want to dine at Golden China in Hilltop. The restaurant was owned by the family of a PVHS student that graduated in 1997. I was amazed how good the food was when I dine inside. The restaurant has gone through a lot of changes inside. I remember they tried to have lounge area which did not work out. It is sad that 2024 is the last year that Hunan Villa. China House will be grabbing their customers. Pinole is losing a great restaurant that been in business for over 30 years.

This was a first for our family. We odered several things; Szechuan chicken, chicken Mushu, Seared potsticker, broccoli, beef, and sweet-and-sour pork. Our bill came to $90 with tip and tax. But the portions seemed reasonable and the food was amazing. Everyone of us had seconds and we thoroughly enjoyed this new experience. A little tucked out of the way in a strip mall on San Pablo Avenue in Pinole but so worth looking for. Friendly reception from the good people who work there. We all highly recommend Hunan Villa. Sorry there's no pictures. I was going to, but we sampled and then dug in!

If you are craving for an authentic Chinese cuisine, Hunan Villa is the place to go. The food they serve is authentic and flavorful. You really get what you pay for. From appetizers to the main dishes, you will never be disappointed. The staffs are friendly and the service is excellent. The interior space is ample so you have enough space for your friends and families. The price of the food is reasonable, in my opinion. Your tastebuds will surely enjoy the spices and flavor each cuisine delivers. I ordered their crispy fried prawn for the appetizer and green beans with fish fillet in black bean sauce for the main dish. I am surely satisfied with the quality of the food and service. I highly recommend Hunan Villa for those who are craving for a high quality Chinese cuisine. Please visit the place and enjoy the food with your family and friends.

Garlic noodles. Salt and pepper pork. Walnut prawns. These are some of my favorite dishes here. Classic, delicious Chinese food. Friendly service and nice atmosphere at this neighborhood restaurant.

We absolutely love this place. Food is delicious, prices are reasonable and the service is quick and very professional. The server always welcomes us. We have brought friends to the place and family and we will continue to support this local restaurant.

Good food, and decent service. Their Mongolian beef/chicken is tasty spicy. I tried pan fried noodles for the first time here and it was different, I actually enjoyed the part crispy part saucy blend. The soup pricing looked suspicious since it was priced almost as much as entrees. When asked the waitress clarified that it's a sharable portion, and it happily fed 4 of us. Eggplant lovers can try the Eggplant chicken, that's not gonna be me. I did receive a good feedback from my friend about it. Not a pricey place, and you won't get a service that's top notch, but I'd say it's a place to just stop by for lunch or dinner, nothing fancy.
